Doris Schorsch was elected to the board of directors for VTX1 in May 2023. As a longtime member of the Valley Telephone Cooperative, she was interested in taking on the role of learning more about the inner workings of VTX1 Companies, how to help her neighbors and the public find the best internet and phone service and to provide answers to their questions. Doris still leads an active life, despite as she says, “being over the age of 29”. Doris and her husband will soon be celebrating 48 years of marriage. They are proud parents of two wonderful children, Kendall and Stephanie, who each have their own active family with five children in various sports activities. 

She recently moved to the country and was thankful that VTX1 was able to give them better internet options. In her free time, she loves to work in the garden as well as cooking and experimenting with new recipes. She also enjoys appliqueing and hand stitching, with the past twelve years being devoted to quilting. She makes sure to share her quilts with her family and friends. Her biggest passion is helping people to find the telecom service that best fits their individual needs – something that she hopes to gain more knowledge about through her work on the board of Valley Telephone Coop.
