Juan Pardo
Director of Technology
Valley Telephone Cooperative, Inc.
Juan Pardo serves as Director of Technology, bringing nearly two decades of progressive leadership and deep operational expertise to one of South Texas’s most important connectivity missions. Since joining the organization in October 2007, Juan has built his career from the ground up — advancing through Help Desk, Network Operations (NOC), Switching, and Core Network before earning his way into leadership as Supervisor, then Manager, and ultimately into his current role overseeing the organization’s entire technology function.
That trajectory is not incidental — it is the foundation of how Juan leads. He understands the infrastructure his team manages at every layer, the stakes for the communities that depend on it, and the human effort it takes to keep it running. Today, Juan directs strategic technology initiatives, guides infrastructure planning, and drives the operational standards that ensure service reliability across the region.
A proud graduate of Lyford High School and a product of the Rio Grande Valley, Juan has spent his entire professional career in service to the rural communities of South Texas. He holds an Associate degree in Computer Networking and Technology with a specialty in Security from Texas State Technical College (TSTC) — a credential that reflects both his technical foundation and his commitment to building networks that are not only reliable, but resilient.
Known for his integrity and servant-leadership mindset, Juan is a devoted family man and a man of faith — values that inform how he leads his team and how he measures success. For Juan, the mission is never just technical. It is personal.
